Relax and enjoy the conversation, banter, and at times, ignorance, of three good friends as Sam, Marty, and Fr Dave delve into their history of adventures, faith stumbling blocks, and moments of grace. From 2006 to 2008 Sam Clear walked 15,600km around the world for the unity of the church. He nearly died 11 times. His good mates, Marty & Fr Dave, were his support crew before, during and after the enormous journey. Each episode the three friends pick apart an aspect of the walk for unity and how it plays out in everyday life. From Church history to personal prayer, from overcoming adversity to their favourite saints, and the occasional guest thrown in, Sons of Thunder is a podcast for all ages - listen, learn, laugh. Wojtek Solecki is a Polish orthopaedic surgeon who was the only person on the world walk for unity to say, "That section you're about to walk is too dangerous," and then take a day off work to guide me along a safer route. He was back five years later as the always-eating co-driver in Venezuela & Panama for 'The Road to Adolfo' documentary, and has an amazing story of dating a non-Catholic and the journey they undertook before marriage.
